Description
During the 2010-11 season, the Chicago Bulls won an NBA-best 62 games, and the inside-outside duo of center Joakim Noah and point guard Derrick Rose had plenty to do with it. Teammates for eight seasons in the Windy City, Rose and Noah ushered in a new triumphant era of Bulls basketball that saw Chicago win two division titles and earn the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed in both 2011 and 2012, including a trip to the Conference Finals in the former. Seen in that magical third season together, Rose and Noah gave the Phoenix Suns and the rest of the NBA a preview of things to come. Few point guards of the era were as adept as Rose at knifing their way to the basket, while Noah could beat you with his surprisingly nimble footwork and precision passing from the center position. The pair combined for 52 points, 27 rebounds, 12 assists and two steals in this double-overtime win on November 24, 2010, and Rose would later be named league MVP that season. In the end, Rose was named an All-Star three times during he and Noah’s time together, while Noah earned the honor twice.
