Description
In this holiday-season matchup between Washington and the Rams, running back and star return man Brian Mitchell caught this punt around the 22-yard line, saw some space in front of him, and quickly burst through the first wave of would-be tacklers. After shaking off one tackle attempt, and then scooting past another, Mitchell found nothing but green grass ahead of him as he galloped down the sideline, only slowing down to dive over the goal line in celebration of the score. In addition to the punt return touchdown, Mitchell also tallied 33 rushing yards, as Washington beat the Rams, 24-21, on Dec. 24, 1994.
