Description
A big, powerful running back, Saints star Deuce McAllister was more than just a bruiser, and on this play, he showcased his breakaway speed. Taking the handoff right up the gut, McAllister burst through the hole into the second level of the defense and beyond, maintaining his separation from the defenders in pursuit until he crossed the 20-yard line, at which point he broke away from one would-be tackler before staying on his feet just long enough to cross the goal line for a career-long, 76-yard score. McAllister finished this one with 184 yards and two scores on the ground, adding another 48 yards through the air on four catches, as New Orleans fell to the Eagles, 33-20, on Nov. 23, 2003.
