Description
Looking to add to the one-point Los Angeles lead, Joshua Kelley tried to go up and over the Kansas City defense at the goal line, but the Chiefs made a big-time play to keep him out. As the ball started to come loose from Kelley's hand, defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton swiped at it to force the fumble and teammate Ben Niemann recovered it for the turnover, giving the ball back to the Kansas City offense. The Chiefs would go on to beat the Chargers, 34-28, in overtime on Dec. 16, 2021.
